Anxious was founded in 1990 by
lead vocalist, Kelly Farrar, and bassist, Gary Newell.
David Brooks is the drummer while also providing the
majority of backup vocals. The newest member of the band, Paul Metsger, joins Michael Lee Starks on guitar.
Although there have been
personnel changes since the 1993 debut album, "Traveled
So Far", the current lineup offers the most energetic and
diverse live show to date. The set list and show
presentation has and always will be different from the
norm.
Anxious has performed with more national touring acts
than any other band in this region, including:
- Kansas
- Loverboy
- Jerry Lee Lewis
- Warrant
- REO Speedwagon
- Bachman Turner Ovrdrive
- Molly Hatchet
- Great White

Performing with these bands has
provided big opportunities for great exposure to large
audiences. The experience alone has proven invaluable.
Anxious also performs regularly at area festivals and
events like Holiday in Dixie, Red River Revel, and 4th
of July Fireworks.
The band is also a favorite at
private engagements. Herd, McElroy & Vestal, Cornerstone
Rehabilitation, Southfield School Parents & Staff, and
Dr. Lacy Williams are just some of the clients Anxious
performed for in the calendar year 2005. |
